Safer Cooking and Storage Tools
Residues left on dishes, sponges, and cutting boards can be a hidden ingestion pathway.
⚠️ Chemicals to avoid:
- Artificial fragrance and dyes in dish soap.
- Quats and antibacterial agents in surface sprays and wipes.
- Drying agents in rinse aids (may leave film on dishes and glassware).
✅ Safer dish care:
- Use fragrance-free or EWG Verified dish soaps (e.g. Better Life, Attitude, Ecover Zero).
- Choose unscented dishwasher detergent tablets free from chlorine and phosphates.
- Disinfect surfaces with hydrogen peroxide or castile soap + vinegar — not bleach-based products.
