How to Prioritize Detox Efforts

Detoxifying your home doesn’t mean throwing everything out overnight. The key is prioritization based on exposure frequency, proximity to the body, and total impact.

  1. Air – We breathe 20,000+ times a day. Clean up air fresheners, candles, and spray cleaners. Open windows and use HEPA filters.
  2. Skin – Swap out laundry detergent and personal care products. These are in constant contact with your body.
  3. Food & drink – Ditch plastic containers, upgrade your cookware, and clean up your water source.
  4. Sleep spaces – You spend a third of your life in bed. Prioritize clean mattresses, bedding, and pajamas.
  5. Children’s items – Focus on the products they chew, touch, and wear daily.

You don’t need a perfect house. What matters is reducing the total toxic load your body has to handle every day.
