How to Prioritize Detox Efforts
Detoxifying your home doesn’t mean throwing everything out overnight. The key is prioritization based on exposure frequency, proximity to the body, and total impact.
🔑 Focus first on:
- Air – We breathe 20,000+ times a day. Clean up air fresheners, candles, and spray cleaners. Open windows and use HEPA filters.
- Skin – Swap out laundry detergent and personal care products. These are in constant contact with your body.
- Food & drink – Ditch plastic containers, upgrade your cookware, and clean up your water source.
- Sleep spaces – You spend a third of your life in bed. Prioritize clean mattresses, bedding, and pajamas.
- Children’s items – Focus on the products they chew, touch, and wear daily.
You don’t need a perfect house. What matters is reducing the total toxic load your body has to handle every day.
