Problem Products

Fragrance is added to nearly everything. Some of the worst offenders include:

🚫 High-exposure items:

  • Air fresheners (sprays, plug-ins, automatic dispensers)
  • Scented candles, wax melts, and incense
  • Scent boosters and dryer sheets
  • Fabric sprays (e.g., Febreze)
  • Scented cleaning products
  • Personal care and laundry products labeled with “spring,” “fresh,” or “clean” scents

Once airborne, fragrance chemicals stick to dust particles, absorb into fabrics, and circulate through HVAC systems. They can linger in your home for weeks — and in your body for much longer.

Symptoms linked to fragrance exposure:

  • Headaches
  • Brain fog
  • Asthma attacks
  • Skin rashes
  • Hormonal disruptions
  • Worsened CIRS or MCS reactions

Even if you “like” the smell, your body may be paying a price for it.
