Operating Multiple Units Simultaneously
If your home is larger than 1,000–1,500 square feet or has multiple stories, a single CR Box isn’t enough. Luckily, they’re affordable enough to build multiple units and run them at the same time.
Here’s a room-based strategy for multiple units:
- Small-to-medium homes (under 1,500 sq ft): Use 2–3 units, placing one in each key area—such as the main living area and each bedroom.
- Large homes (1,500–2,500+ sq ft): Plan for 3–5 units total. Prioritize high-sensitivity zones like bedrooms, home offices, or areas with known water damage history.
- Multi-level homes: Place at least one unit per floor. Since air doesn’t circulate evenly between floors, each level needs its own filtration.
Run all units at the same time for best results. This creates consistent air turnover throughout the house, helping maintain lower particle levels across zones. During the day, keep them running on medium or high. At night, reduce fan speeds in bedrooms for quieter sleep while still maintaining airflow.
