After Cleaning – Reintroducing Items Safely
Minimize Risk of Recontamination
As you clean:
• Work from cleanest to dirtiest items whenever possible.
• Change gloves and cloths often—don’t cross-wipe!
• Don’t place cleaned items back on dirty surfaces.
• Consider lining your worktable with clean plastic or disposable sheeting.
When finished:
• Remove PPE outside the home.
• Launder any washable cloths in hot water with an additive.
• Wipe down tools with botanical cleaner or hydrogen peroxide.
• Seal cleaned items in fresh bins or boxes until you’re ready to reintroduce them.
