Initial Walkthrough and Interview with the Client

The inspection begins with a walk-through and a conversation. This is your chance to share what you’ve been experiencing—both in terms of health symptoms and home concerns. The IEP will listen carefully, ask follow-up questions, and begin connecting dots between your history and potential environmental triggers.

What to expect during the walkthrough:

  • A room-by-room visual assessment, including common living areas, bedrooms, bathrooms, and storage areas
  • A chance to point out specific concerns like odors, stains, or areas where you feel worse
  • The IEP noting layout, ventilation, construction materials, and moisture-prone zones

This step sets the foundation for the rest of the inspection. It’s where your lived experience starts guiding the science.
