Step 4: Final Damp Wipe

This final step removes the dust and particulate that settled after fogging or air washing. It also clears off any remaining surface residue and gives you the cleanest finish possible.

Surfaces to include:

  • Vertical: walls, doors, trim, cabinets, window frames, inside closets
  • Horizontal (again): floors, countertops, sills, shelving

Damp Wipe Recipe:

  • 1 quart clean water
  • 6–20 drops fragrance-free dish soap (e.g., Seventh Generation Free & Clear)
  • (Optional) 2 tablespoons of white vinegar for extra cleaning power (only if surface-compatible)

Technique Tips:

  • Use microfiber or disposable cloths—damp, not dripping
  • Work top to bottom in each room
  • Wipe each area with a clean section of the cloth (fold frequently)
  • Swap cloths as soon as they get visibly dirty
  • Rinse high-touch surfaces with plain water if needed

This is the final step in your structural fine particle cleaning. Once complete, allow rooms to air out, replace air filters, and avoid recontamination by keeping traffic and activity low while dust settles again.
