Before you begin, it’s important to understand where this course fits in your overall home recovery process.

This course only covers structural fine particle cleaning—the cleaning of built-in surfaces and air. It does not include cleaning of belongings like furniture, books, clothing, or kitchenware. That will be covered in a separate course on contents cleaning.

This course assumes that the following steps have already been completed:

✅ Structural Remediation: All sources of mold and moisture have been professionally remediated according to industry standards.

✅ HVAC Cleaning: The ductwork, coils, and air handler have already been inspected and cleaned (or replaced) by qualified professionals.

✅ Carpet Removal or Cleaning: Carpets have been removed (strongly preferred) or professionally cleaned with containment and negative air.

If you haven’t completed these steps yet, we recommend going back and working through the relevant courses before proceeding. Fine particle cleaning without prior remediation or HVAC work can result in recontamination or prolonged symptoms.
